Jim has been involved with Land Rovers all of his life, and works meticulously to repair and improve them to suit customers' requirements.

A second-generation Land Rover enthusiast, Jim spent school holidays volunteering at a well-known local Land Rover specialist as well as attending welding evening classes .

Jim completed an apprenticeship in repairing military vehicles which led to employment in a Land Rover main dealer and took opportunities to work for Bowler Motorsport on various rally-raid events, including the 2007 Dakar rally, before starting JWLRS.
